Sasha & Max

The poetic duo of Sasha and Max were married in early November at the beautiful Baughman Center. Their reception was held at The Harn Museum of Art. To greet guests as they entered the picturesque venue, they made artistic playbills like the one above.

There is no feeling quite like getting into one's dress on their wedding day. We captured these touching moments of Sasha as she felt the giddiness and emotions on her special day. There were not many dry eyes in the room as her mother helped lace up her corset!

Leading up to the Baughman Center, Sasha and Max entrusted us to create chalkboard messages to go with their Shakespearean wedding theme. We placed them along the walkway so that guests were welcomed into their whimsical storybook beginning from the moment they left their cars. 

 We absolutely adore first looks, and Sasha and Max's first look was so special. They played their own romantic music as their eyes met for the first time, leading to their hug and these sweet photos. Remember how we said there were very few dry eyes earlier? There were none at all this time!

Sasha and Max incorporated vibrant colors to add a bit of spunk into their special day. Bright teal bridesmaids dresses complimented Sasha's gorgeous violet flowers

When having your wedding reception at an art museum, why not make some art yourselves? Sasha and Max took some gorgeous photos with their photographer that highlighted both the beauty of the The Harn Museum of Art and the beauty of their love.

Speaking of love, we loved the details they put into their wedding! Simple elegance at its finest. Not only were the place settings to die for , but the hand-made card box made their wedding stand out. Talk about adding personal touches!

Who says the guests are the only ones who can enjoy some wedding cake? Check out this photo of one of the Harn's residents getting ready to chow down on Publix's delicious creation.

Courtney & Michael

We are asked often here at MasterPiece Weddings if we do or know how to do Jewish weddings. Take a look at the beautiful wedding of Courtney and Michael, and you will see that the answer is undoubtedly: yes!

Courtney and Michael began their wedding at the Baughman Center, where they took lovely photos roaming the gardens together. On your wedding day, be sure to ask your photographer for some more intimate shots of the two of you to really capture the love from the day.

These bouquets were to die for! Their mixture of fun, vibrant colors and natural beauty added so much life and excitement to the wedding party. Joan Prange outdid herself yet again!

Our friend and make-up extraordinaire Kara Winslow made sure that not a moment went by where Courtney's make-up was not perfect. She worked through the hot Florida heat all day, providing touch-ups and additions. We were in awe of her work! We highly recommend her for your own special day.

The signing of the Ketubah is such a special and intimate moment for Jewish couples. Courtney and Michael's families gathered around as they signed theirs, officially sealing themselves together in Jewish law. We captured their signings here as they stood before their wonderful rabbi, Rabbi Jonathan Cohen.

Rabbi Cohen led Courtney and Michael's family and friends in attendance through the many stages of a Jewish wedding ceremony. Whether they were Jewish or not, he made sure that they understood what was going on and the history behind it. For us, it was a really unique way to experience a ceremony. We came out learning a lot about the Jewish faith, as well as a lot about how Courtney and Michael's journey brought them from college sweethearts to their floral-accented chuppah.

After the ceremony, guests headed over to the Florida Museum of Natural History. While they enjoyed a colorful walk through the museum's famous butterfly garden, we made sure their show-stopping piece for the night was set up: the museum's alternate reality board! Little did guests know, they would be joined by a family of wooly mammoths when they sat down for dinner. What a way to add a little excitement and personality to a wedding, right? Catch me, Rachel, and the museum rentals coordinator, Amber Tison, testing it out here!

Courtney and Michael's first dance was watched by their crowd of guests and the mammoths alike. Here, you can see the lovely detail of Courtney's dress as she swayed with Michael. We are in love with the different fabrics and layers to it. It was the perfect combination of traditional and modern.

We wish the absolute best for this couple of college sweethearts! From the dorm to the aisle, they proclaimed their love to all who saw and got to know them. We were pleased to have the opportunity to know them, and we thank them for letting us share a slice of their special day.

Alison & Travis

Alison and Travis rang in March with a beautiful Spring wedding ceremony at the Baughman Center and reception at the Sweetwater Branch Inn.

The sun shone bright when Alison and Travis said their vows. If you want to have your own "golden hour" moment during your wedding, choosing a venue with ample natural lighting such as the Baughman Center is the perfect way to make your big day radiant. Also, be sure to ask your photographer when the best times for lighting for your wedding photos will be to get them just right!

Our bride and groom chose to display a beautiful calligraphy sign to welcome in their guests. If you want to add some simple elegance to our own wedding, go for one of these types of signs. Also to achieve this look, they chose a second font style to pair with the calligraphy. Ask local calligraphers what font styles would pair best with this writing for your wedding.

Marriages are forever, but weddings happen on one, special day! Alison and Travis chose to immortalize their special day through a wooden sign that all guests could write on. After the wedding, it could become decor they could forever look at to remember the love of their families and friends. Consider making your guest book a fixture of your new home together.

Guests traveled from the Baughman Center a short drive away to the Sweetwater Branch Inn. We love this site for its beautiful outdoor space and atmosphere. As they were arrived, they were greeted by these cards carried by various animal figurines and instructing everyone to "Please find your party animal." Little did Alison and Travis know, this would foretell the arrival of one unexpected guest...

As scary and slithery as he may be, this actual party animal is not all that uncommon at weddings! If you are having your wedding or reception outdoors, be aware and on the lookout. You may find a few critters decide to show up and share your special day.

A wedding is not complete without a cake! Sugar Refined made this simple yet gorgeous one for Alison and Travis, detailed with pink floral touches to add pops of color and tie the cake into the overall wedding theme. The cake topper, saying "After All This Time, Always," called back to the popular Harry Potter quote to add some personality. Do not be afraid to add little personal touches or quotes that are near and dear to you and your bride or groom's heart throughout your wedding decor!

We absolutely fell in love with this idea of Alison and Travis'! Instead of real flowers, the couple chose to use wooden flowers in the bride and bridesmaid's bouquets. Not only is this a wonderful way to curb wilting flowers on your wedding day, but it creates a rustic look that we simply adore.

Major thanks to Alison and Travis for letting us share this day with them! We had a great time and wish them a happy and wonderful marriage.
