Hot Colors for 2012

Rumor has it this season's most popular colors will be cobalt blue and yellow, and we couldn't be more excited!
Dress sash, Yellow bouquet, Bridesmaid dress, Cake, Necklace,
Shoes, Invitations, Blue bouquet

The two colors work together perfectly, don't you think?! The intensity of the blue is perfectly balanced by the softness of the yellow - the combinations are endless! And how 'bout those shoes...

What are you looking forward to in 2012?

A New Spin on Guest Books

Guest Books aren't just for the Bride and Groom anymore! Check out this great idea I found on Emmaline Bride for Parent Guest Books.

Braggingbags via Emmaline Bride

What a great way to record happy thoughts for your parents from their friends and loved ones. While you're off honeymooning, they'll have this personalized keepsake to remember all the special moments from your day. Don't forget to include a note of love and thanks from the bride and groom as a surprise!

You could place them by your Guest Book or Escort Cards or even on a table decorated with family photos through the years.

What do you think?

Artful Wedding Vows

I came across this great gift idea on Emmaline Bride. It's a fantastic way to preserve your wedding vows and display your love for each other!

You submit your own answers to the question "I promise to..." and they take it from there. They can be as unique or traditional as you are!

Don't you love how the groom promises to "Let you borrow my sweatpants when you let me turn down the AC down as cold as I want" and "always try to remember to take out the trash?"

These could even make a great keepsake for a special anniversary couple that you know.

Are you including any special promises in your vows?

Cute as a Button

Last year we had the fun privilege of working with the amazing Bobbi and Mike from Bobbi+Mike Photography and I've been a HUGE fan of their blog ever since! (click here to see why)

They shared these photos of a wedding they photographed last September, and I've never forgotten about the details on these tables!

All photography by Bobbi+Mike

The bride actually collected the chairs over the year before the wedding and painted them herself. She did the same with all the different sets of China on the tables as well.

I'm loving the book and button table numbers too!

The whole look creates such a feeling of elegance and casualness that's perfection.

Do you love all the details as much as I do?

To see more, check out their Blog Post. They have a great slideshow with even more pictures from the event!

Good to the Last Drop

If you know me, you know that I have a thing for coffee - and not just my favorite drink from Starbucks. I collect coffee mugs too - they're hanging all over my kitchen and make me smile every morning. :)

So when I came across this sign on Emmaline Bride it completely motivated me to create a coffee inspiration board! (By the way, honey - if you're reading, wouldn't it be the perfect addition to our kitchen? **hint, hint!**)

Coffee Invitations, Coffee Donut Shots, Shoes, Cake, Umbrella, Cups,
Bouquet, Bridesmaids, Rings, Boutonniere

There's something so cozy and romantic about snuggling up with someone you love and your favorite cup of coffee. These browns and pops of pale blue would make for such a warm and intimate event. I just love the idea of a coffee wedding!

Check out these great favors too!

Wouldn't these be such a cute alternative to toasting glasses? The inside says "happily ever after..."

Wedding Mugs

I'm off for my morning Cup of Joe! What do you think of using coffee as inspiration in your wedding?

Take me out to the Ballgame!

Tonight's opening night for the Gator Baseball Team! (Something that we are VERY excited about in our house!) So, in honor of them - here's an inspiration board dedicated to our great national past-time:

Cake, Shoes, Sign, Rings, Field, Cracker Jacks, Heart Ball, Flowers, Seating

If baseball's a passion you both share, wouldn't incorporating some of these elements make for a fun All-American wedding experience?

Here's hoping that this year is the Gator's year to win the College World Series - Let's GO Gators!!! Third time's a charm!

Have you included any fun sports elements into your wedding?

... and they Loved

I came across this sign on Pintrest from a Style Me Pretty pin and couldn't resist talking about it. I love the play on words! It seemed to wrap some of my favorite romantic movies all up into one: The look, feel, and dialogue from Ever After, or the closing bench scene at the end of Notting Hill - where you know they will happily grow old together. I could go on, but you get the picture. :)

Pintrest

This would make a great closing photo in an album with the bride and groom, or as a picture for your thank you notes. Then, you could use the bench at home and remember your wedding every time you sat together on it! The perfect romantic keepsake you can use over and over again!

You could even just use the saying on a hand-painted sign for photos after the ceremony...

What are some of your favorite romantic movies?
